Waking the Neighbors

Magdalena has a unique way of making sure the downstairs neighbors are awake and paying attention to her.  In case you didn't know, this is the original purpose of chairs, before people began sitting in them!

Playing is a Full-Time Job

It is too bad Magdalena can't get paid for her favorite pastime--playing! This is what she spends most of her time doing, enjoys the most and does the best. That and eating! (She is a girl after her mommy's own heart--and her Gigi's!) When playing, the sand box is her favorite entertainment. Unlike her cousin, Samuel, who had an aversion to sand at first, she loves the feel of the sand in her mouth, in her hair and on her legs, not to mention in her pockets. Upon arriving home after a trip to the playground, we have to strip her and shake her clothes over the balcony rail. Bath and laundry are neccessities!

Pardon My French

Why is it when you see the funniest thing, you never have your camera with you!? Here I am in Prague with Rebekah, taking pictures of everything, except the one thing that would make a great blog! Rebekah and I were in a taxi returning home after a visit with the Augustines Friday night. Rebekah was in the front seat helping the driver find our location (doing pretty well speaking Czech, I might add!). I was sitting in the back seat, looking at all the night sights, when my eye caught a sticker on the back seat window. There is a figure of a person with a cloud of air coming from his derriere inside a circle with a line through it: NO FARTING! We all three had a good laugh at it, with the driver agreeing it was funny, but a good suggestion to post.
