MTTM Retreat--Oct. 2007

I know this entry is OLD, but I saved it in my drafts and so I'm going to finish it!  :)

In October 2007, Jeff and I traveled with a great group of people to Garmisch, Germany, to help with the children's ministry for the Ministry to the Military retreat.  My father is the official organizer of this ministry for the Church of God--way back when I was a child.  It was wonderful to be a part of this as an adult and to see how the ministry has grown and affected so many lives.

Once the work was over, we traveled to Switzerland and Italy for some site-seeing.  Here are a couple of photos from Rome.

We wore ourselves out seeing as much as we possibly could in the few short days we had.  As Bonnie would say, "My feet hurt all the way up to my hips!"  When the rest of the group headed back to the states, Jeff and I headed to Prague.  Rebekah, Petr and Magdalena were waiting there--packed and ready to move to the states with us.

Fall Festival

Sunday afternoon we had a duck and Superman running around in our yard (you never know when a super hero or a fowl will come in handy!). Isn't that the cutest duck ever?
Superman has a new mode of transportation--motocycle! Who needs to fly when you can cruise!? Did you know Superman wears Converse? He's very up on those things!
