Czeching In

Yay! Rebekah, Petr and Magdalena arrived today from the Czech Republic! Such a l-o-n-g trip for such a small baby. :( But Magdalena did surprisingly well. When we met them at the airport, she looked all done in. But the excitement of seeing Gigi and Poppy perked her up. She talked and squealed all the way home. She even played with Poppy a while before deciding dinner and bed was in order. We weren't sure she was going to make it long enough to meet her cousin, Samuel.

First of Many

Elizabeth had her first photography exhibit at a cafe in down town Palatka, Florida. Jessica, Casey, Samuel, Caitlyn Lang (a friend of Elizabeth's), Jeff and I drove down to attend. Six students participated, each contributing 6 to 15 photos (Elizabeth had the 15!). All were photos taken this semester at FloArts. All were developed, printed and matted by the students, themselves. It was quite a big deal. There was even an article in the local paper about the exhibit opening, with a photo of the class. As you can see, my photography skills don't match Elizabeth's. This is a picture of her self-portrait. I took pictures of her other stuff, but they didn't turn out well. (Sorry, Robin!) And! Elizabeth actually sold two of her photos! The exhibit will continue for two weeks. Congratulations, Elizabeth! We are proud of you!
